Role OverviewServe as a safety expert by analyzing data, researching solutions, monitoring regulations, and creating educational materials to help prevent workplace injuries. Provide training for Ohio employers and BWC employees, identify training needs, and develop new classes to improve safety knowledge. Coach and mentor field staff by assessing their skills, offering feedback, creating new hire training, and ensuring consistent quality across the state.
What You Will Do
Conduct quality reviews of on-site safety activities and consultative services to maintain accuracy and effectiveness. Lead regulator updates and special projects, including updating Ohio safety rules and presenting changes to the Board of Directors.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Candidates with demonstrated safety experience are preferred. The selected candidate will be assigned to the BWC office closest to their residence.
Requirements
- 5 yrs. exp. in public or private organization holding position involved in risk management or loss control activities AND 3 yrs. exp. in policy development
- completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, risk management or related field of study AND 3 yrs. exp. in public or private organization holding position involved in risk management or loss control activities AND 3 yrs. exp. in policy development
- equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
