Occupational Therapist (OT)-Inpatient

Requirements

• Evaluates patients and develops a plan of treatment intended to decrease limitations from injury or disease and to maximize independent living skills to the extent possible for discharge to the least restrictive environment.
• In-depth knowledge of human growth and development, human anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and occupational theory
• Knowledge of and ability to apply appropriate occupational therapy techniques
• Knowledge of disease processes and injuries which impair occupational performance while considering ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic influences on an individual
• Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork and problem-solving to achieve goals
• Demonstrated skills in verbal communication and listening
• Demonstrated skills in providing excellent service to customers
• Ability to recognize the importance of the involvement of patients and family in plan of care
