Role Overview

The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs for the facility to facilitate rehabilitation. He/she directs resident participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.

What You Will Do

Evaluates residents, develops treatment goals, implements occupational therapy treatment plans, and completes documentation. Designs adaptive devices, trains residents, and evaluates progress.

Requires a graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association, licensed and/or eligible for licensure, and registered and/or eligible for certification.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state
  • Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
