Occupational Therapist School OT

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for a part-time, school-based opportunity in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for the 2026–2027 school year. The OT will work with students in Pre-K through 12th grade, with support from both the district and the TheraPeds team. The OT will evaluate and support students whose fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-motor, self-care, regulation, and other functional needs affect their ability to access and participate successfully in their educational environment.

What You Will Do

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you'll evaluate and support students whose fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-motor, self-care, regulation, and other functional needs affect their ability to access and participate successfully in their educational environment. Your responsibilities may include providing direct occupational therapy services, conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments, developing measurable, educationally relevant IEP goals, and providing consultation and classroom-based support to teachers and other school professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, OTD, or PhD degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current NBCOT certification
• Active or eligible for Oklahoma Occupational Therapist licensure
• Appropriate educational credentialing or authorization, if required for the specific school assignment
• Experience working with children or school-aged students
• School-based or pediatric Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Strong foundation in sensory integration and sensory processing, with the ability to identify and analyze developmental and sensory-motor needs
• Knowledge of fine-motor, visual-motor, self-care, regulation, positioning, and functional participation within educational environments
• Understanding of IEPs, IDEA, special education processes, and educationally relevant Occupational Therapy services
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and intervention-planning skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in the use of technology for documentation, communication, and educational purposes
• Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to exercise a high level of tact, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in internal and external communications
