Ocean Export Specialist III

Facilitate customers' shipping requests and coordinate them throughout the CEVA organization through the Ocean Freight division at Des Plaines, Illinois. Responsible for documentation and preparation of documents, timely coordination, and correctly processing shipments. Accountable for customer and operational inquiries as well as optimizing the shipment process through policies, programs, and practices.

What You Will Do

Provide a variety of services using entry to advanced level technical and support regarding operations, service questions, and related customer assistance. Manage pre-alerts daily, secure necessary documentation, upload and create tracking files, interface with other CEVA systems, and follow up with carriers.

Requirements

• Understand units of measure, U.S. currency conversion, weights and volume and distance measurements.
• PC literate. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
• Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
• Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write basic correspondence. Ability to gather and analyze documents skillfully.
• Capable of coordinating communication across groups. Ability to raise potential concerns or customer requirements.
