Job Description
The Office of Injured Employee Counsel (OIEC) is hiring a Mail Clerk to perform routine administrative support work. The job involves processing and distributing mail, preparing and processing outgoing agency mail, and greeting and assisting agency customers.

Requirements

  • Sorts, processes, and distributes mail, overnight/ground, inter-department, inter-agency mail, outgoing and incoming mail, faxes and the OIEC Inbox and records received by the agency
  • Responsible for package tracking and delivery management systems, and automated shipping systems
  • Prepares and processes outgoing agency mail and shipments
  • Reviews and manages the agency’s general email inbox. Forwards and saves emails to appropriate field staff
  • Answers the agency’s main line and transfers calls to the appropriate field staff
  • Assists in monitoring and distributing incoming faxes
  • Greets and assists internal and external customers and responds to routine inquiries
  • Maintains filing and record keeping systems
  • Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Analyzes and solves work-related problems and work independently on a variety of administrative work and technical assignments
  • Manages workload and priorities to meet necessary deadlines
  • Works both independently and as a team player
