Role OverviewThe On-Call Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating non-CDL box trucks to complete local and regional moving, hauling, pickup, delivery, and relocation assignments. The role includes loading and unloading cargo, securing furniture and equipment, performing vehicle inspections, navigating assigned routes, completing delivery documentation, and providing professional customer service.
What You Will Do
Operate 16–26 ft. box trucks for residential moves, commercial relocations, deliveries, pickups, and hauling assignments. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload furniture, equipment, appliances, boxes, and other cargo.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely operate a 16–26 ft. box truck
- Ability to meet applicable driving, background, and transportation screening requirements
- Ability to meet DOT physical requirements when applicable to the assignment
- Ability to safely lift, carry, load, unload, and secure furniture, equipment, boxes, and other cargo
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to follow dispatch instructions, routes, schedules, safety procedures, and delivery requirements
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with moving and delivery teams
- Availability to accept on-call assignments based on operational needs
Benefits
- Mileage reimbursement of $0.76 per mile based on the current IRS standard business mileage rate
- Compensation: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour, commensurate with driving experience, moving experience, licensing, qualifications, and assignment requirements
