Role Overview

As an Oncology RN Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for receiving and providing immediate responses to inquiries and patient referrals, establishing relationships between referral sources and the hospital, and evaluating financial reimbursement for proposed hospitalization and intervention.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include determining the appropriateness of referrals for admission, interfacing with hospital departments and physicians, evaluating financial reimbursement, and tracking data regarding intakes and referral sources.

Requirements

  • Graduate of NLN approved nursing program
  • 3 years experience in medical intake and/or care coordination
  • Experience in relationship development and managed care
  • Current Texas license (NLC) NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE or Current Texas license Upon Hire
  • BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire
