Role OverviewWe're hiring a paraprofessional to assist a teacher in planning and implementing classroom instruction for a student with special needs. The ideal candidate will provide encouragement and support to the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience.
What You Will Do
Assist the teacher in planning curriculum, assessing student abilities, developing and implementing lesson plans, and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning. You will also observe and track student behavior, gather data, and create illustrations to support modifications to the educational program.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of three years of direct support experience, and prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
