Role OverviewThis role provides technical support services and assists with the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team at Ochsner Health, a healthcare organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. The position involves transporting patients, running errands, relaying messages, and assisting with patient care and room turnover. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:15am-2:45pm at the Jefferson Highway location.
What You Will Do
Perform indirect and direct patient care duties, maintain a clean and safe environment in patient care and support surgical areas, and maintain required clinical knowledge and technical skills. Adapt to rapid day-to-day changes in the department and adapt behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy and communication style.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Experience functioning calmly in a pressure situation
- Experience working with little supervision
