Job Description
The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician plays a vital role in the startup, shutdown, and routine operation of combustion turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and critical auxiliary systems. Responsibilities include conducting equipment inspections, performing minor repairs, monitoring system parameters, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and operational protocols.

Requirements

  • Conduct routine startup, shutdown, and normal operation of combined cycle plant systems
  • Operate auxiliary systems
  • Conduct regular equipment rounds and operational checks
  • Maintain accurate operating logs
  • Recognize abnormal or unsafe operating conditions and report them to the Control Room Operator or supervisor
  • Support maintenance activities
  • Enter work requests into the CMMS
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks and basic corrective work
  • Monitor and record operating parameters
  • Perform visual inspections and listen to equipment during rounds
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical equipment
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by the Plant Manager or senior operations staff
