Operations Engineer

FTS International, LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer to provide subject matter expertise in satellite and ground development lifecycle, integration, and transition to operations. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the development lifecycle, analyzing and developing concepts of operations, requirements, and participating in design reviews.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, analyzing concepts of operations, user requirements, and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements, and collaborating with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forums.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with polygraph
• BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline
• 9+ years of relevant experience
• Expertise in full system engineering life cycle from concept, requirements, design & development, to deployment and operational maintenance
• Experience with project management supporting the delivery, integration, and transition of mission systems and/or mission applications
• Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization’s needs throughout system development lifecycle
• Self-starter, proactively address customer requirements without supervision, readily define solutions for broad, abstract topics
• Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment, and comfortable briefing or communicating with senior government managers
• Strength in collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder
