Role OverviewThe Operations Manager oversees collection and disposal operations, leads high-performing teams, and ensures service commitments and performance goals are consistently met. This role requires superior organizational skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement surrounding operations, clients, and employees.
What You Will Do
The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, formulate and manage operating metrics, and participate in the development of Divisional/District Operational budgets. They will also ensure thorough root cause investigations for all incidents/injuries and follow up with needed training, discipline, retraining, and reporting.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years in transportation, construction, and/or waste services
- Minimum 5 years of diverse management experience
- Solid project management and resource planning capabilities
- Ability to lead, direct, and delegate
- Prior experience and ability to effectively motivate, coach, and counsel
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in using computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook)
- Basic math skills
- Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English
- Specialized understanding of DOT, OSHA regulations and requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Seasoned grasp of Waste industry concepts, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work with challenging clients to build rapport
- Experience preparing and managing to budgets and resolving employee relations issues as required
- Ability to manage complex and dynamic situations requiring a well-developed sense of strategic/tactical priorities and urgency
