Role Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of a secure detention facility, ensuring the safety and security of youth and staff. The role involves managing staff scheduling, absenteeism, and overtime reduction, as well as implementing policies and evaluating current practices to maintain operational safety and security. The Operations Manager will also conduct interviews and select candidates for vacancies in secure detention, and monitor and ensure the coordination of activities and services to youth on a work tour.

What You Will Do

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the operations of an assigned tour of the secure detention facility, providing coverage for facility operations in the absence of the Executive Director of Operations, and conducting investigations of child abuse allegations and critical incidents. The role also involves conducting individual and group conferences with staff, reviewing incident reports, and conducting video reviews as part of the incident follow-up process.
