Role OverviewThe Operations Manager oversees food procurement, logistics, inventory, transportation, and distribution for Midwest Food Bank. The position ensures donated food is secured, received, accurately recorded, stored, and distributed safely and efficiently to partner agencies.
What You Will Do
Lead food procurement and logistics, maintain productive operational relationships with food donors, suppliers, transportation providers, and other partners, coordinate incoming and outgoing loads, transportation resources, routes, and distribution schedules.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant operations, logistics, warehouse, food distribution, transportation, or related experience; five years preferred.
- Associate degree, in a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience with food procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, trucking/logistics, or nonprofit food distribution preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead employees and volunteers and achieve results through others.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, prioritization, decision-making, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with donors, vendors, partner agencies, volunteers, employees, and leadership.
- Ability and willingness to use and learn Microsoft Office 365, Primarius, GeoTab, and other operational systems.
