Job Description
Performs independent, objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve department operations. Conducts financial, compliance, performance, and information systems audits of the agency and prepares both preliminary and final audit reports of the findings.
Requirements
Four (4) years of professional experience in the field of accounting, auditing, analyzing data, or contracts and grants; or
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or
A combination of education and professional experience in accounting, auditing, analyzing data, or contracts and grants.
Ability to travel as needed.
The incumbent must obtain eighty-hours (80) of continuing professional education and training every twenty-four (24) months, which contributes to the incumbent’s professional proficiency. At least twenty (20) hours should be completed in any one-year of the two-year period, and at least twenty-four (24) of the hours must be in subjects directly related to the government environment and to government auditing.
