Role Overview

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising labor management and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities daily. They oversee the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. The Supervisor is responsible for conducting staff meetings, keeping senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues, and ensuring the development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products.

What You Will Do

The Operations Supervisor will conduct staff meetings, review daily/weekly work activities, plan for continuous improvement, and ensure the development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products. They will also implement and report on-going cost savings measures, meet client specified KPI's, and comply with Quality system requirements.

The Operations Supervisor will have overall training and evaluation responsibilities of warehouse staff, plan the daily work schedule, and assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources. They will also assign duties to appropriate warehouse staff, review pending jobs or trends, and plan for reorganization of warehouse space.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years' experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • Prior MHE certification/knowledge of basic MHE operation (preferred)
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • RF Scanners
  • WMS functions
  • English (reading, writing, verbal) language skills
