Operator

The Operator is responsible for the operation of computer-controlled process equipment, cooker, machinery, and evaluation of any process problems. They perform product quality testing and maintain a steady flow of material to the cooker. The Operator must maintain peak operating levels for the cooker temperature, rate, and steam, and monitor the evaporation rate to meet requirements.

What You Will Do

The Operator will oversee the rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage, maintain equipment cleanliness, and perform periodic preventative maintenance on all equipment in process. They will also operate the pollution control system, including air/odor control and wastewater control.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have one year of manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience, and knowledge of mechanical rendering processes. They will also have basic math skills, computer skills, and good oral and written communication skills.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• One year of manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical rendering process preferred
• Chemical manufacturing experience a plus
• Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
