Role Overview

As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you'll be responsible for preparing the patient for the exam with the doctor, gathering important medical information, and performing preliminary tests. You'll provide the highest quality of care and an exceptional patient experience. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include welcoming patients, obtaining patient histories, performing visual acuity tests, checking pupils, running diagnostic tests, administering tests, assisting in minor office procedures, educating patients, and maintaining exam rooms.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1-year of experience in Ophthalmology
  • COA, COT is a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
