Job Description

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is seeking a proactive and organized Licensed Optician to join their dynamic Ophthalmology Practice. This per diem position involves daily customer service, dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses, repairing optics, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean optical shop. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of optical equipment and customer needs.

Requirements

Associates degree in Opticianry or apprenticeship under a licensed Optician
Three years of optical experience in dispensing and optical laboratory
MA Opticianry license required
Good customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of optical equipment, lenses, frames and technology
Accuracy in managing patient records and accurate financial reporting
Ability to use Excel for daily reporting
Ability to process sales transactions accurately
