Role OverviewWork with ophthalmologists to assist during eye surgery and perform diagnostic testing, including measuring a patient's vision. Must be familiar with ophthalmic pharmacology and corrective lenses.
What You Will Do
Meet with patients, perform initial work up, diagnostic tests, and measurements, review patient records, maintain supplies and equipment, and complete in basket messages.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires 1 year experience as an Ophthalmic Tech, JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, and Basic Life Support certification.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- 1 year experience as an Ophthalmic Tech
