Role Overview

The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for collecting and recording patient histories, performing visual acuities, and conducting external examinations.

What You Will Do

Collect and document patient medical history and diagnostic testing results, perform visual acuity testing, refractions, tonometry, and dry-eye testing.

Requirements

  • Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology
  • Certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform manifest refraction is required
  • Ability to perform Goldmann tonometry is required
  • Ability to effectively multitask
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy
