Job Description
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking an Accountant III to work in the Finance and Budget Office. The position involves running daily voucher files, preparing and distributing warrants, and performing financial analysis and reporting. The incumbent will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining logs, serving as a point-of-contact for statewide vendor add files, and preparing files for auditing purposes.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management
  • Two (2) of which must have been experience with processing expenditures, billing, or financial reports
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to organize data into logical form for presentation in reports, documents, and training materials
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze data; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques and work independently
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
