Job Description
The State Personnel System is seeking an OPS F & W BS IV Biological Scientist for the Land Use Planning Program in the Division of Habitat and Species Conservation's Office of Conservation Planning Services (CPS) within the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). This role focuses on ecological assessment, conservation planning, and land use applications to impact Florida's fish and wildlife resources. The position is a temporary, hourly-based position requiring a background check.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High school diploma
  • Seven years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (can substitute for 7 years of experience)
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documents
  • Experience working with imperiled species or their habitats
  • Familiarity with land use applications and/or permits
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Commitment to natural resource conservation
