Role OverviewThis position is seeking a qualified applicant who can review background screening reports received from the State’s Background Screening Clearinghouse for healthcare practitioner applicants, licensees, and facility owners as authorized in F.S. 456.0135. The role requires the ability to manage periodic interruptions, perform duties within a confined workspace, and remain seated at a computer workstation for extended periods. Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the position.
What You Will Do
Reviews background screening reports, assists with answering phone calls and providing information to applicants/licensees, replies to general emails, documents intake and processing, handles communications and documents received via fax, and processes mail. Records necessary data about the screening results in the division’s licensing and enforcement information database system (LEIDS). Coordinates electronic request for background history information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the Form I-9 and that information will be verified using the E-Verify system. E-Verify is operated by the Department of Homeland Security in partnership with the Social Security Administration to verify employment eligibility.
