Role OverviewThis OPS Office Automation Specialist I position is in the Office of the Attorney General within the Information Technology Unit (IT) in Tallahassee, Florida. The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States. The position is responsible for network support, applications support, and videoconferencing.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities of this position include network support, applications support, and videoconferencing. The incumbent will be responsible for installation, support, maintenance, repair, and standardization of network equipment, troubleshooting and maintenance of applications at the desktop level, and configuring videoconferencing machines.

The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in teaching, training, secretarial or administrative work, with one year involving the use of office automation equipment. The candidate should also have basic experience working with computer hardware and peripherals, office productivity software, and the Windows operating system.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in teaching, training, secretarial or administrative work, with one year involving the use of office automation equipment
- A high school diploma or its equivalent and four years of experience in teaching, training, secretarial or administrative work, with one year involving the use of office automation equipment
- College education from an accredited institution can substitute at a rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required non-office automation experience
- Vocational/technical training in an area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at a rate of 720 classroom hours per year for a maximum of two years of the required non-office automation experience
