Role OverviewReporting to Nursing leadership, this role assumes management responsibility for a single major or multiple smaller Nursing units at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital. The position is medium in scope with less than 50 FTE direct/indirect reports, and may include Clinical Managers and high-level professional staff. The manager plans, implements, and evaluates processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscal management, staff competence, and customer service.
What You Will Do
Oversee departmental policy development and revision, monitor workflow quality and quantity, and initiate personnel actions such as hires, fires, and disciplines. Complete performance appraisals, develop and assess daily, monthly, and yearly goals, and assist in budget development and monitoring. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate activities aligned with department, hospital, and DMC objectives.

Requirements

- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
