Job Description
The Virginia Department of Health is seeking an experienced Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer to support mission-critical database and cloud infrastructure initiatives. This role focuses on designing, managing, and optimizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Requirements
Design, implement, and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database and middleware components
Administer Oracle Database (19c and 26ai), including Container and Pluggable Databases (CDB/PDB)
Perform database upgrades, migrations, and conversions, including 19c to 26ai transitions
Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services
Configure and manage Oracle WebLogic Server environments (Fusion Middleware and WebLogic Suite)
Implement backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and Data Guard
Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization
Benefits
1099 Contract role
Hourly Rate: $45 – $65 per hour
