Role OverviewThe Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is seeking an experienced Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer to support and maintain critical Oracle database and cloud infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for Oracle database administration, cloud platform support, migration initiatives, production operations, and performance optimization while ensuring the stability, availability, and security of enterprise systems.
What You Will Do
Provide administration, maintenance, and operational support for enterprise Oracle database environments supporting the Virginia Department of Health. This position focuses on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle database administration, migration projects, disaster recovery, database performance, and production support.

Requirements
- 10 years of experience performing Oracle database migration from Solaris to Linux (Oracle Database 11g/12c)
- 10 years of experience with Oracle database backup, restore, RMAN, and Data Guard
- 10 years of experience in Oracle database performance tuning, maintenance, and administration
- 10 years of experience providing on-call production support
- 7 years of experience administering Oracle Grid Control, including version 13c
- 5 years of experience administering and supporting Oracle APEX
- Experience administering Oracle Database 19c and above
