Role OverviewThe Oral Health Educator will train Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to understand the importance of oral health in patient care. This position focuses on equipping CNAs with the knowledge and skills to provide effective oral hygiene care, identify oral health issues, and promote preventative practices.
What You Will Do
Deliver tailored workshops, create educational materials, collaborate with SNF leadership, promote oral health advocacy, provide support and guidance to CNAs, and evaluate the impact of educational programs.

Requirements
- Certification or degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, or a related field

- Knowledge of oral hygiene practices, dental conditions, and preventative care strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with CNAs and healthcare teams
- Experience in training or educational program development
- Ability to present complex information in an accessible and engaging manner
- Empathy and understanding when addressing oral health challenges in vulnerable populations
- Organizational skills to manage multiple training sessions and create effective resources
- Familiarity with SNF workflows and CAN responsibilities
- Proficiency in data management & analysis
- Relevant background in public health
- Prior experience with grant writing preferred
