Job Description

Requirements

  • Interest in and knowledge about the natural world, including the Texas Hill Country, or a curiosity to learn about our natural habitat.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills, strong group management skills, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in regard to scheduling and daily duties.
  • Facilitation and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, creative, and flexible.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally and work as a team player.
  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills, climbing ability and comfortable working at heights of 30-50ft to include traversing cables.
  • Technical proficiency with ropes, helmets, harnesses, hardware and several belay techniques and willingness to be trained on high ropes and challenge course elements.
  • Ability to perform, or learn to perform, and facilitate all activities related to outdoor adventure.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry outdoor adventure equipment including stand up paddle boards, kayaks, climbing gear.
  • Interest in mindfulness, wellbeing and mind-body-soul connection.
  • Enthusiastic about delivering experiences in all weather conditions.
  • Decision making within the best interest of the department and Miraval.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office particularly Outlook.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must have valid Driver's License.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department or resort leadership.
