Role OverviewThe Outreach and Community Engagement Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and coordination of MDC's outreach and community engagement activities. This position supervises Outreach Coordinator staff and supports consistent, high-quality engagement with individuals, families, community organizations, and partner agencies.
What You Will Do
Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, coaching, and support to Outreach Coordinator staff. Plan and coordinate daily workflow, outreach activities, assignments, schedules, and community engagement activities.

Requirements
- Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Community Development, Public Administration, or a closely related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Three years of experience working in community outreach, human services, social services, community engagement, resource navigation, or a related field
- At least one year of experience providing lead, supervisory, training, mentoring, or team coordination responsibilities preferred
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, mentor, and support employees while maintaining clear expectations and accountability
- Strong understanding of community outreach, relationship building, referral coordination, and community resource navigation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community partners, employees, program leadership, participants, and the public
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences and an understanding of how systemic barriers may contribute to disparate outcomes
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, outreach activities, deadlines, and employee assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze outreach and service data, identify trends, and communicate findings to program leadership
- Experience maintaining accurate records and working with electronic databases, client management systems, or other electronic recordkeeping systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general office technology
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements and appropriate handling of participant information, including HIPAA requirements where applicable
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practices, or other person-centered engagement approaches preferred
- Must have reliable personal transportation with a valid Washington State Driver’s License
