Job Description
The Salvation Army is seeking an Outreach Specialist to provide outreach services to areas of Phoenix where the homeless congregate, develop case plans, and establish an action plan for clients. The ideal candidate will have an Associate of Arts Degree in Human Service or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Requirements

  • Associate of Arts Degree in Human Service or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, but also coordinate services with other team members
  • Ability to relate to people in crisis, who suffer from serious mental illness, chemical dependency, physical disability, chronic homelessness, or diverse cultures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of community resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Pass a criminal background check and have a good driving record
  • Must possess a current Arizona Driver's License
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
