Job Description
The Outreach Worker will conduct outreach and provide information about SNAP and other benefits to individuals throughout the 5 boroughs. The candidate should have previous outreach experience and be bilingual in English and Spanish or Mandarin. The position involves representing The Fortune Society, attending community events, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Mandarin
  • Previous outreach experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of entitlements & eligibility (specifically SNAP in NYC)
  • Clear and concise communication skills, verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills, text messaging, e-mailing and internet navigation
