Job Description
The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking an Outreach Worker to support Save Our Streets South Bronx, a community violence prevention model focused on healing, intervention, and community-building. The role involves identifying individuals at risk, building relationships with at-risk youth, and facilitating community engagement to reduce gun violence and create safer neighborhoods. The position reports to an Outreach Worker Supervisor and requires a commitment to working in the South Bronx community.

Requirements

  • Identify and form relationships with individuals at risk of involvement in shootings.
  • Build and maintain a caseload of participants.
  • Intervene in local conflicts to prevent an outbreak of violence.
