Job Description
The Overdose Education Manager will be responsible for providing direction and oversight of the OENDU Training Team, with the goal of preventing overdose deaths in New York City. The position requires research, training, and evaluation to increase naloxone access and promote equity-informed approaches. The manager will analyze data, design and implement training initiatives, and supervise staff to ensure widespread access to overdose prevention training and naloxone citywide.

Requirements

  • Research training best practices and emerging strategies
  • Design, implement, and analyze post-training evaluation surveys
  • Develop research metrics for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Analyze NDF data to evaluate training effectiveness
  • Develop reports on training team initiatives
  • Supervise DOH Naloxone Dispensing Form (NDF) data reconciliation
  • Conduct Training of Responder and Training of Dispenser presentations
  • Participate in OEND Unit meetings and represent OENDU in intra-Bureau and Divisional workgroups
  • Participate in emergency response as part of DOHMH's Incident Command System
