Job Description
Catholic Charities is seeking an Overnight Shelter Associate to work Thursday-Sunday, 10pm-8:30am, at our 48th Ave shelter. The position involves following procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests. The successful candidate will have experience working with people in crisis and be able to remain calm in stressful situations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with people in crisis
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful and/or emergency situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Basic knowledge of word processing and typing ability to enter participant information
  • Knowledge of the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
