Job Description
The Prep Cook is responsible for providing special snacks, smoothies, and other items for residents at the Oregon Veterans Home. They will assist the Cook with meal preparation, stock snacks on kitchenettes, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Safely prepare all snacks/meals for residents
  • Follow recipes for menus
  • Keep a clean, neat work area
  • Must have the ability to problem solve and substitute supplies and/or menu items as instructed by supervisor
  • Follow directions on tray cards for specific therapeutic diets and textures for residents
  • Remain up to date and knowledgeable of specific diets/textures for all residents
  • Restock pantry and snack items
  • Deep clean
