Role OverviewThis position plays an important role in developing structural packaging solutions that are functional, production-ready, and designed to meet our customers’ needs. The Packaging Structural Designer will work closely with our Sales, Customer Service, and Production teams to turn customer concepts into packaging that can meet customers’ expectations and that allows for successful production on our equipment.
What You Will Do
Create and modify structural packaging designs using ArtiosCAD, develop CAD layouts, dielines, prototypes, and production-ready files, while working with customers and production on technical requirements, taking into consideration customer feedback. Troubleshoot structural design and production concerns from both external and internal stakeholders.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Proficiency in Esko ArtiosCAD is required. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Pandora, and Kodak Workshop is helpful. Experience with packaging CAD, structural packaging design, or a related field, and understanding of folding carton construction, dielines, and manufacturing processes are required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and good communication skills are essential.
