Role OverviewMindrift is running a research study on how people use their phones, apps, and everyday digital tools, and how that differs across languages and cultures. We’re looking for native German speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.
What You Will Do
Spend 1-3 days with our research team in Midtown Manhattan. Walk us through how you use your phone and favourite apps in daily life. Share examples of your everyday phone activity with the research team. You decide what’s included. Fill in a short questionnaire about your habits.

Requirements
- 18+ and currently living in NYC.
- A native German speaker who grew up in Germany.
- You use German in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes.
- You’ve used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Not currently employed by a tech or AI company.
Benefits
- $100/hour
- Up to $2,400 for the full study
