Job Description
As a PAID ODOT College Intern, you will work on establishing and maintaining pollinator habitats on ODOT right-of-way, perform vegetation and wildlife assessments, participate in pollinator education programs, and work with state and federal agencies to expand pollinator habitat across Ohio.

Requirements

  • Experience using dichotomous keys and other tools to identify plants and animals
  • Experience removing vegetation by operating machinery, power tools, and hand pruners
  • Experience with public speaking, developing educational programs, creating interpretive signage, and designing educational publications
  • Experience collecting and managing large amounts of data to create reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Geographical Information System software and/or Google Earth to develop basic maps
