Role Overview

The Paint Technician I is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of vacated apartments, occupied apartments, and other interiors and exteriors of common areas as required using lead safe practices. This role requires knowledge of painting standards and best practices, techniques, general safety, and clean up. A strong attention to aesthetic details and cleanliness is also required.

What You Will Do

Provide painting services of vacated apartments, occupied apartments, exterior walls, pool areas (touch-ups), exterior doors, and model apartments. Receive a plan of action to complete assigned tasks, including job locations and readying equipment. Identify and use of all required painting supplies, equipment, and PPE gear for the job.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Painter is preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Organizational and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute assigned tasks.
  • Ability to interact with residents, team members, vendors, and other business contacts, respond courteously to questions and requests, and stay calm when addressing and resolving any problems.
  • Multifamily housing experience is preferred, but not necessary.
  • A valid driver's license for the purpose of operating a community vehicle and/or golf cart.
