Job Description
Painter position at Austin Industrial in Baytown, TX. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces for painting, applying paint using a spray gun, brush, and roller, and performing physical tasks such as climbing and lifting. Must have 4 years of Journeyman level experience and certifications in NCCER and a valid driver's license. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Requirements

  • Prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting
  • Paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers
  • Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally
  • Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes
  • Work at heights with no fear
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color, according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer
  • Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller
