Job Description
Painter responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, painting equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas. Must be able to work at heights and perform physical demands.

Requirements

  • Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally.
  • Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes.
  • Work at heights with no fear.
  • Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color, according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer.
  • May erect scaffolding or set up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level.
  • Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
  • Other duties as assigned.
