Role OverviewAssist the teacher in the education of students with cognitive disabilities, communication disabilities, and social, behavioral, and/or emotional disabilities. Students may have academic and/or adaptive behavior skills instruction needs. The Para Sped High Incidence will assist in managing classroom routines, supervising students, and implementing student behavior plans. The role requires flexibility, responsiveness, and the ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
What You Will Do
Supervise students, assist in managing classroom routines, assist in interventions to redirect behavior, document occurrences, provide feedback to develop positive self-esteem, and assist in the implementation of student behavior plans. Participate in effective teaming skills, collaboration, conflict resolution, and communication. Provide individual and/or group instruction, assist students with self-advocacy, and assist with child development and language acquisition.
