Role OverviewAssist the classroom teacher with instruction of basic academic skills to students. Discusses assigned teaching area with the classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts. Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aides to stimulate learning.
What You Will Do
Directs activities designed to reinforce concepts for individuals or small groups, assists students with individual assignments, and performs informal assessment activities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have an understanding of educational tools and be able to operate equipment designed for providing education. Must be able to work with a diverse population and communicate effectively with a supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 48 accredited college credits or pass a state approved assessment
- Associate's Degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in a related field preferred
