Role Overview

The ESOL Paraeducator supports the teacher in delivering educational programs to students, assisting with lessons, and reinforcing concepts. They work with teachers to modify activities and develop academic language, perform assessments, and maintain records. The role requires patience, understanding, and sensitivity to the obstacles facing students.

What You Will Do

Assist students with lessons, reinforce concepts, work with teachers to modify activities, perform assessments, and maintain records. Display patience and understanding while managing children, teach self-help and problem-solving skills, and recognize individual learning styles.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a minimum of 48 accredited college credits, and proficiency in another language (for bilingual roles).
