Paralegal in Expungement

Requirements

• Answer phone lines and avoid creating an attorney-client relationship
• Assist with expungement matters, direct individuals to the Expungement website and/or email, take messages, or direct calls to the appropriate ISP department
• Pick up mail from the mailroom and give it to the ISP Legal Office Paralegal
• Review Court ordered expungements and correlate information with CHRIS, identify cause numbers to be expunged, and address the record according to Indiana Code and ISP procedures
• Conduct factual research, liaison among internal departments and outside agencies, prepare and organize documents, and coordinate productions
