Role OverviewThe Paralegal Specialist will work in the Children's Legal Services Division, assisting lawyers with data entry, researching legal precedent, investigating facts, and preparing legal documents. The work is challenging and incredibly rewarding, and the incumbent will conduct research to support a legal proceeding, formulate a defense, or initiate legal action.
What You Will Do
The Paralegal Specialist will be responsible for entering data into statewide databases, filing pleadings and other legal documents, drafting pleadings and other legal documents, maintaining electronic case files, and performing related work as required.

Requirements
- Completion of a training program to become a legal assistant, a paralegal, a legal paraprofessional or a lawyer's or attorney's assistant
- A degree or certificate in legal technology, legal administration, legal studies or allied legal services
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Two years of experience involving paralegal work
- Two years of experience in legal secretarial work
