Role Overview

Join the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as a Paralegal Supervisor in the Criminal Court Unit. The unit investigates and prosecutes misdemeanor cases throughout Brooklyn, interacting with crime victims, police precincts, and the public. The Paralegal Supervisor will supervise and train paralegals and clerks, ensuring they meet deadlines and receive comprehensive training on discovery processes.

What You Will Do

As a Paralegal Supervisor, you will review files and documents, provide instructions on proper actions, and collaborate with the Unit Chief and 1st Deputy Unit Chief to develop plans and recommendations. You will also evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and ensure Unit Chiefs are updated on case issues and staff performance.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience as a Paralegal, or
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and five years of satisfactory full-time experience as a Paralegal, or
  • Associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and six years of satisfactory full-time experience as a Paralegal
